Keyo, the first AI-driven brokerage for residential rentals, has announced its “Keyo Guarantee” for New York City landlords. The guarantee ensures that landlords are paid rent even in the event of early lease breaks and tenant payment defaults for any tenant placed through Keyo. Keyo uses AI and automation to quickly place quality, financially-stable rental tenants faster than a broker.

“No other brokerage offers a guarantee for New York landlords to combat vacancy,” said Adrian Gross, Keyo’s SVP of marketing. “We’re thrilled that Keyo continues to grow at a rapid pace helping both tenants and landlords save time and money in one of the country’s most competitive housing markets.”

Keyo allows landlords to register their vacant apartments on keyo.com and secure approval for their Guarantee within 24 hours. Keyo then places qualified tenants and guarantees their rent. Keyo charges the industry standard of one month’s rent for placing the tenant, but the guarantee is completely free of charge. Instead of brokers, Keyo uses Scouts, trained locals available on-demand, to show units. Landlords can support their community with eager and passionate representatives while maximizing revenue.

“The rental market in New York is notoriously challenging to navigate and our platform is incredibly cost effective for landlords and tenants” Gross said. “The average number of days for Keyo units to be on the market is only 15, already about half the industry standard.”

Tenants use the Keyo mobile app to pay rent directly to landlords. Keyo has partnered with major credit bureaus to boost tenant’s credit score with every on-time payment, and offers incentives and rewards for paying on time.

Keyo is headquartered in Palo Alto, California and venture-backed by Twitter founder Evan Williams’ Obvious Ventures, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Eric Schmidt and Mike Bloomberg through Village Global, former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo and Bebo founder Michael Birch.
