B6 Real Estate Advisors (B6), an investment sales and capital advisory brokerage led by industry veteran Paul J. Massey, Jr., announced the appointment of Adrian Mercado as partner and chief information officer. Mercado will lead the development of B6’s proprietary technology platform and overall data and information strategy apparatus.
A passionate technologist and skilled data professional, Mercado was formerly principal of Alero Advisors, a commercial real estate data and technology consultancy. Prior to Alero Advisors, Mercado was the head of product for Urbint, a data intelligence company focused on helping cities become more resilient through machine learning. Mercado was also the managing director of research at Cushman & Wakefield and worked closely with Massey as vice president of research at Massey Knakal Realty Services.

Mercado will oversee the development and operation of the firm’s custom technology platform, which will be designed to streamline internal processes and enable brokers to work more effectively and efficiently on behalf of the firm’s clients. He will also take a leading role in designing, implementing and socializing B6’s data and insights strategy to best support the firm’s originators.
