RMS Companies Purchases Former Schaefer Salt Factory Site and Breaks Ground on 153-Unit Rental Apartment Project in Union New Jersey

RMS Companies has purchased the former Schaefer Salt Factory site at 1255 Magie Avenue in Union Township, New Jersey and is breaking ground on its 153-luxury rental apartment project.

A vertically integrated real estate development firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, RMS Companies is renowned for multifamily residential communities and boutique hotel development and operations. RMS’s first project in New Jersey will total 153 rental units and consist of 51 one-bedroom, 97 two-bedroom, and 5 three-bedroom apartments with a luxurious amenity package to include: an in-ground pool, cardio and core strengthening fitness center, a private- on demand yoga and spin studio, a fireside resident and entertainment lounge, a meditation room with a Himalayan salt wall, a children’s playroom, a multi-sport golf simulator, a game room and private co-working spaces. The architect for the project is Lessard Design, an international architecture and planning firm committed to creating environments that inspire connection, collaboration and community.
