Halstead, a leading residential real estate brokerage in the New York metropolitan area, today announced that CORE’s Matthew Cohen has joined the firm. Cohen will work out of the firm’s Village office, headed by Richard Grossman, Halstead’s President, and Sara Rotter, Executive Director of Sales, Downtown.
“We have known Matthew for a number of years and are thrilled to welcome him to Halstead. He has an outstanding reputation and track record within the industry, and we are looking forward to supporting him in taking his business to even greater heights,” said Richard J. Grossman, president of Halstead.
Over his nearly five years at CORE, Cohen consistently ranked as one of the firm’s top brokers and was recognized as one of the youngest real estate brokers in New York City to surpass $100 million in sales. Cohen was also named to the REAL Trends list of America’s Best Real Estate Agents. Working with buyers and sellers throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, he puts all his energy, precision and ability into communicating with every client as if they were family. A graduate of Muhlenberg College, Cohen started his career in investment banking before entering real estate.
“Halstead’s supportive and familial culture has always been attractive to me. The firm’s excellent reach, reputation and ability to custom build solutions to meet my needs, and most importantly my clients’ needs, made now the perfect time to join as I continue to expand my business,” said Cohen.
