Skyline Tower Launch Creates Record-Breaking Sales Frenzy

Sales are officially underway at luxury condominium Skyline Tower in Long Island City, the tallest building in New York City outside Manhattan. Leading brokerage firm Modern Spaces has sold $223 million worth of inventory – with units sold ranging in price from $640,000 to around $2.4 million. Since the project’s soft launch in May, the firm has officially sold 25% of the building’s 802 units. Skyline Tower initially broke record for the highest projected sell out at $1.067 billion, which excluded penthouses.

The 67-story tower is located at 3 Court Square in Long Island City’s Court Square neighborhood. The spaces range from studio to four-bedroom homes, and range in size from 400 to 1,547 square feet. Pricing starts at approximately $500,000 to $4 million, and move-ins are slated to begin in 2020. The building is being developed as a joint venture by Risland Holdings LLC, FSA Capital and United Construction & Development Group. Plans are underway for 26,841 square feet of ground-floor retail space as well as a new multi-million-dollar Court Square subway stop at the building’s base.

Topping out at a soaring 778 feet, the Hill West Architects-designed tower features unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline and iconic buildings such as the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center and Rockefeller Center. The glass façade comprises 358,538 square feet of translucent glass–equivalent to six football fields–setting the project apart from LIC’s burgeoning skyline.

Interiors were designed by Whitehall Interiors with spacious layouts crafted to evoke a modern-yet-timeless aesthetic. Kitchens showcase modern finishes, including quartz slab countertops with matching backsplashes and top-of-the-line stainless-steel Bosch appliances. Master and secondary bathrooms exhibit clean design with beautiful porcelain and bronze fixtures by Kohler.

Skyline Tower’s light-filled amenities include a 75-foot temperature-controlled lap pool; a whirl pool spa with steam and sauna rooms; a fully-equipped fitness facility; a  hot air balloon-themed children’s playroom; a third-floor resident lounge with an integrated business center, large-screen television and billiards table; a fifth-floor lounge area with a demonstration kitchen and a fully-furnished, double-height terrace; bicycle storage; a mail and package handling room and more. Residents also have the option to lease private parking and purchase storage units.
