Grande Cosmetics announced a $200,000 donation to non-profit organization, Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Funds were raised through the brand’s Beauty From The Heart campaign created in March 2020 in response to COVID-19. The donation will help provide food for people most in need during this unprecedented time.
The campaign’s initial goal was to raise $20,000, but the overwhelming success resulted in a promotion extension through April and the resulting sum of having raised $200,000. Beauty From The Heart raised funds by offering 15% of all order revenue and a 15% discount on purchases made at www.grandecosmetics.com.
“Wow, this campaign has been beyond personally and professionally rewarding,” remarked Grande Cosmetics Founder, Alicia Grande. “The outpouring of support from our fans and the beauty community has been overwhelming. I am so proud of our community for coming together to help us donate $200,000 to Feeding America. Two months after the initial outbreak, many Americans are still facing hardships, so I know this donation will go towards ensuring food security for those who need it the most.”
Although states are gradually opening for business and life is slowly returning to normal, many Americans are still having trouble finding reliable sources of nutrition. The increase in demand for food supplies have left many grocery store’s shelves empty and many school districts across the United States indefinitely shuttered, leaving many children who depend on school services for healthy nutrition without daily meals.
The Feeding America network provides over 4.3 billion meals annually, helping one in seven Americans facing hunger live more secure and stable lives.
