To Peptide or Not

Are your peptides working or not? My life has been and continues to be filled with high vibration, giving me the ability to summon energy for working out and the demands of my daily life as a businesswoman and mother. The peptides have served as a key ingredient that contributes to my energy and performance.

I put on four pounds of muscle in a year thanks to hard work and a mixture of CJC-1295, a peptide that increases the release of growth hormones, as well as a single bottle of Sermorelin, a peptide that stimulates hGH production. With everyone having unique biochemistry, it is paramount to seek out well-qualified practitioners that order and carefully review your blood work on an annual basis so you receive what your body needs.

When my girlfriend argues that it’s too expensive, I retort, “Why don’t you skip Saks one day a month?” I have so many who comment that the price of blood work and the protocols are too much yet when surveying the places where money is spent, these are worth the price. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy life, have fun and enjoy a yummy cup of coffee or glass of Rosé. Moderation is the kind of life sentence I am cool with. I discovered that when I partake in the tasty things, it is far more appreciated when making it special versus an everyday occasion.

I approach my practitioner and protocol research like Sherlock Holmes. And each year I notice the increase in dividends of sustained energy and overall well-being. We would love to think it takes only one magic pill or your favorite food, however, with a combination of healthy foods, consistent physical training with increased load and practicing stress management modalities like yoga, you can experience quality and quantity of health. Don’t shoot the messenger; the equation is more than eating right and exercising more. In other words, you can’t out-exercise unhealthy habits.

My go-to for peptides is Dr. Ken Winnard and his team at OneLife Health and Performance in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. It was incredibly helpful to learn from Dr. Winnard that “Peptides are molecules that occur naturally in all living organisms. Humans have peptides in every cell and tissue, and they are essential for several critical functions related to maintaining health and homeostasis. Depending on your needs, peptides can be used to treat low energy levels, low libido, several mood disorders, elevated body fat, signs of aging and more.” Like any protocol, it is most important to identify a qualified practitioner who will listen to you, customize the treatment to achieve the goals communicated and adjust as necessary. As bio-individualized beings, it isn’t a one-size-fits-all, even from one month to the next for us.

Exercise, food and tools like peptides help even the most lively of us. I may or may not have been called the Energizer Bunny by my friend and trainer, Phil Williams. For over 28 years, Phil has been committed to shaping his body and mind, resulting in someone you want to be around. His secret sauce is a combination of immense knowledge of the human body, an infectious smile and vibrant energy. My workouts are never dull and pack a punch in 30 minutes. And I love his mantra: “Whatever you do, do it with passion.” Focused on the long game, I do enjoy a good dopamine hit through an intense workout. Getting bits of adrenaline and tearing down the muscle helps keep my mind, body and soul happy!
