Charles Bendit, co-chief executive officer of Taconic Investment Partners, will be the guest speaker, Wednesday, March 14, at the B’nai B’rith Real Estate luncheon beginning at noon at the Cornell Club, 6 East 44th Street, Ivy Room. Bendit’s topic will be “Essex Crossing—Transformation of The Lower East Side.” He will be interviewed by Ariel Tirosh, senior vice president of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
In September of 2013 Taconic, along with L&M Development Partners and BFC Development Company, was awarded the development of nine sites along Delancey Street on The Lower East Side by New York City Economic Development Corporation. The 1.9 million-square-foot mixed use development will contain 1,000 residential units and 900,000 square feet of office and retail space including a new Warhol Museum.
