Newmark has completed four lease transactions totaling of 9,826 square feet at One Dock Street in Stamford, Connecticut. Newmark’s Associate Director and Senior Managing Director Tim Rorick represented the landlord, Prima Property Partners and Juster Properties, in the transactions.
“One Dock Street continues to attract and retain tenants, which speaks volumes to the location and quality of the building,” said McDermott. “Our remaining units are built and ready for immediate occupancy.”
New leases were signed with Merrimac Corporation and My Accountant. American Century Investments renewed an existing lease and Amherst Pierpont is expanding its space at the building. The impact of COVID-19 has renewed interest in suburban office markets, with tenants and employees seeing increased value in working closer to home, reported by Newmark Research. On average, Fairfield County records approximately 40,000 square feet of relocations from New York City per year, but in the last 12 months, relocations from the city have totaled approximately 250,000 square feet across 20 deals.
One Dock Street is a 90,000-square-foot loft office property that features high ceilings, exposed brick and original timber beams.
