Educational Alliance, a civic organization that serves New York families with community programs and provides resources for all ages, honored top-tier trial and appellate attorney Y. David Scharf, at the organization’s annual We the People Ball at Spring Studios in Manhattan.
Scharf is a real estate litigation partner and chair of the real estate finance and restructuring practice at Morrison Cohen LLP. With a legal career that spans more than 25 years, he is one of the country’s leading trial lawyers and litigators for high profile cases and individuals.
“I’m pleased to support Educational Alliance and its efforts to build a strong, inclusive community, and to serve those who are in need of its programs and resources,” Scharf said.
Educational Alliance, founded more than 129 years ago, provides services to more than 50,000 New Yorkers annually at 16 locations in Lower Manhattan. The organization’s “We the People” initiative claims Lower Manhattan as a space where all are welcome regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or language. This year’s event raised over $1.1 million.
