In an effort to ensure the health and well-being of its employees and customers, and to help limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Cole Haan, Inc.  announced the temporary closure of a number of its U.S. retail stores in those areas that have been most impacted by this crisis. Select stores were scheduled to close on March 17 in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Washington, and California. The company expects to reopen these stores on or before March 31.

Affected store employees will receive pay and benefits during the expected closure period. The company will monitor new information as it develops and will act in the best interests of our employees and customers. Customers may continue to shop and find information regarding the company’s mainline and outlet stores at colehaan.com.

“The Cole Haan brand has been present during life’s most poignant moments for the past 92 years,” said Jack Boys, chief executive officer of Cole Haan. “It has witnessed many of the most challenging times our country has known this past century. It has also been there for the inevitable process of unity and re-building that follows such events. And Cole Haan will be there when we get through this challenging crisis together.”

“We hope everyone remains safe and healthy,” said Boys. “Our thoughts are with those whose lives have been upended by this crisis.”

Cole Haan is taking additional steps in its facilities to help ensure the health and safety of its employees. This includes options for working from home, enhanced cleaning, and social distancing. The entire fleet of Cole Haan stores will also be thoroughly cleaned during this period.
