Shabir Ahmad, an agent with The Corcoran Group and a Community Outreach and Public Relations professional with Brooklyn Emerge, was honored today at Brooklyn Borough Hall and acknowledged as a “Brooklyn Covid-19 Hero” by Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President, due to all of his positive work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ahmad helped with the Brooklyn Emerge organization by distributing more than 130,000 freshly cooked hot halal meals across the five boroughs. Besides hot meals, Ahmad increased his volunteer services to the next level by helping deliver groceries at the doorsteps to people in need who could not come out during lockdown.
Brooklyn Emerge also helped distribute hundreds of masks, bottles of hand sanitizer, and goody bags for kids; as well as helped to organize hundreds of antibody tests.
Congratulations to Mr. Ahmad on this tremendous honor!
