Chelsea Piers Opens Water Hazard at Golf Club

Water Hazard

The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers announced the opening of the Water Hazard bar and lounge. The Water Hazard offers walk-in food and beverage service as well as stall service to customers enjoying the driving range and full-swing simulators. The facility is unique to the waterfront as one of a handful of outdoor food locations along the Hudson River.

The menu features flatbread pizzas, sliders, tacos and traditional bar appetizers. The drink menu offers beer and wine along with mixed and specialty drinks. A select number of stalls on the A and B level can order food and drink to their stalls. The full-swing simulators also offer delivery service.

“The past year there haven’t been a lot of options for New Yorkers to safely socialize and feel a sense of normalcy,” commented David Beltre, general manager of the Golf Club and the Water Hazard. “The Golf Club is uniquely designed with dividers and multiple entrances to accommodate social distancing in an outdoor space. We are excited to add the Water Hazard service as it makes the driving range even more normal feeling with guests able to hit in groups of two and also have a drink.”

The Water Hazard opened with limited seating to meet the 50% indoor dining protocols. The facility is already welcoming guests for special events like U.S. Open, PGA Championship and Kentucky Derby viewing days and distanced trivia nights. The social programming will increase as New York City returns to normal capacities.
