Northwell Health Renews 32,413 SF at 2001 Marcus Ave. in Nassau County

Northwell Health, New York State’s largest health provider and private employer, has renewed eight leases totaling 32,413 square feet for an additional 10 years at The Feil Organization’s 2001 Marcus Ave. in Lake Success.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Northwell Health, a five-star tenant that wanted to remain in a five-star location that is 97% leased,” said Brian Feil, executive vice president of leasing at The Feil Organization. “And we’re proud that they consider us a five-star landlord.”

Northwell provides primary care services and offers specialists in gastroenterology and pulmonary disease at that location. Medical practices are spread among multiple floors at 2001 Marcus Ave. a 214,000-square-foot, three-story modern building located in the commercial real estate corridor bordering Nassau and Queens counties. Built in 1978, the facility includes covered parking and a ground-floor atrium café. It is home to a number of medical and professional service tenants. New leases and renewals signed at the building this year total 57,205 square feet.

Feil, which owns and operates 2001 Marcus, recently renovated the property with an extensive lobby upgrade, installation of a state-of-the-art energy management system, modernization of elevators, new roof, fire alarm upgrade and garage rehabilitation.

Kevin Driscoll, director of commercial leasing, represented The Feil Organization in-house. Tom Ruggiero and Brian Palumbo provided legal counsel to Feil in-house, while David Leno provided counsel to Northwell Health in-house.
