Helmsley Spear LLC has hired Dawn Chartoff to serve as a director of the 166-year-old firm. Chartoff will focus on both landlord and tenant representation in the leasing and sales of commercial real estate properties.
“Dawn has decades of experience in the commercial real estate market working with top tier firms in the New York City metropolitan market,” said Kent M. Swig, president of Helmsley Spear. “Her outstanding professional background will be a great asset to both Helmsly Spear and the clients we currently serve, as well as to our growing client base.”
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Chartoff worked in the commercial real estate division of Brown Harris Stevens and was with the Lansco Corporation working alongside her colleague Brett Zelner.
She began her professional career in the public sector working for the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs before her initial real estate position with Bernstein Real Estate.
Chartoff graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Columbia University and holds a Master of Public Administration from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
