Madison Capital and Salmar Properties have closed a 21,027-square foot lease on the third floor of Liberty Bklyn at 850 3rd Ave. in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, with new tenant luxury secondhand platform Vestiaire Collective. The brand is moving from its previous New York location at the Starrett Lehigh Building in Manhattan to expand its space from approximately 9,000 square feet to 21,027 square feet.
Liberty Bklyn has signed over 200,000 square feet of new leasing in the past three months as momentum continues building at the property. The tenant signing comes on the heels of a new 79,000-square foot lease for Care/of and a lease expansion for Prose to nearly 73,000 square feet.
Vestiaire Collective is known for its highly engaged community and its rare inventory of 3 million items. Launched in Paris in 2009, Vestiaire Collective is a Certified B Corporation with offices in Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and a tech hub in Berlin.
“As Vestiaire Collective seeks to build a more sustainable fashion industry, we look forward to helping enable their North American growth,” said Jonathan Ratner, managing director, Madison Capital. “We’re excited to welcome the brand to Liberty Bklyn and the Sunset Park community of innovators.”
Vestiaire Collective was represented by Marilynn Joyner and Eric Deutsch of CBRE. Liberty Bklyn was represented by David Junik, Nechama Liberow, Steve Nadel and Mark Caso of Pinnacle Realty on the lease.
