Upscale co-working space company Convene has announced “Quorum by Convene,” an ultra-premium meetings and events venue at 1221 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan. Quorum by Convene will occupy approximately 40,000 square feet on the second floor of the 51-story building and offer fully produced and managed event experiences.
“In an effort to attract employees back for in-person meetings and events, there has been a flight to quality, with companies willing to spend more for an elevated and thoughtful experience,” said Amy Pooser, president and chief operating officer of Convene. “We’re proud to introduce Quorum by Convene as our latest New York City venue. Quorum by Convene boasts a grand and luxurious design while still providing all the things companies have come to love about Convene — inclusive full-service, attention to detail and next-level hospitality.”
Quorum by Convene will feature high-end finishes throughout, including custom Italian terrazzo floors, Calacatta Tucci Stone and architectural bronze accents. The venue will comprise six unique meeting rooms that can be configured to accommodate various event types — from town halls to classroom-style learning, corporate social events, and more — allowing for a total capacity of 630 people. Each space will also be tech-enabled, including inclusive built-in video cameras, video screens, microphones and speakers to permit hybrid presentations.
Its centerpiece room, the Grand Hall Forum, can accommodate up to 360 people theater-style and features a 270-degree digital screen. Within this forum, Convene’s on-site AV team can support highly produced and engaging screen blending with 4K video. Premium hybrid in a scaled immersive environment is a reality because virtual attendees can easily be showcased and interacted with, within the space. Quorum by Convene is expected to open for business in December of this year.
According to data from Convene, demand for meetings and events space in New York City has surpassed pre-pandemic levels by nearly 40%. Quorum by Convene will be the 13th Convene-operated location in New York, including Club 75, Convene’s members-only social club at 75 Rockefeller Plaza, and SaksWorks by Convene at 611 Fifth Ave. and 250 Vesey Street.
Convene currently has a network of 23 premium meetings, events, and flexible office locations across the U.S. and U.K.
