Architectural, design and planning firm MVE + Partners announced promoted Pieter Berger and Terrence Seah, NCARB to principal. Each has more than 15 years of professional experience and has moved up within the company from senior associate partner positions.
Berger is a talented designer who has created many of the firm’s most notable mixed-use, residential, and international projects. As the design director of the Irvine, California office, he explores unique and innovative solutions to create a timeless design with sensitivities to context, materiality, and client goals, the firm said. Berger’s projects include The Residences at Pacific City, The Mandarin Oriental Residences Beverly Hills, Post House in Salt Lake City, Dixon Place in Salt Lake City and The Ritz Carlton Residences Newport Beach. He holds a bachelor of arts in architecture with honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
Seah leads many of the firm’s large scale, complex, urban, mixed-use projects with an emphasis on bringing a design vision to a constructable reality that meets MVE’s client goals. As director of MVE’s San Francisco Studio, Seah is passionate in realizing design visions and has the distinctive ability to facilitate collaborative teams on multifamily, mixed-use, and urban infill assignments. Seah is currently overseeing several thousand new units in the firm’s northern California portfolio. He holds two masters’ degrees from the University of California, Berkeley; one in architecture; the other in Structural Engineering. His bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and material science is from Cornell University.
