Architecture firm MdeAS announced several major promotions. Daniela Petrusev rises to senior director, Sebastien Coles and Tricia Ebner were named directors, Cara Dorney is now a senior associate and Danielli Aders and Brittany Milas were promoted to associates.
Petrusev brings more than 15 years of experience to MdeAS with her creative design approach having driven some of the firm’s most significant projects including 1221 Avenue of the Americas and 330 Madison Ave. She is currently the project manager for the redevelopment of PENN 2 for Vornado Realty Trust and oversees the growth of MdeAS by managing recruitment efforts. She holds a bachelor of architecture from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
Coles, as a member of MdeAS’ senior leadership team, is deeply integrated within the firm and its initiatives, which include future growth, creative problem solving, staff hiring and retention and mentoring of junior staff. He joined MdeAS upon graduation from Syracuse University in 2011 with a bachelor of architecture. Currently, he manages a dozen different projects ranging from 2,500 square feet to 2.5 million square feet.
Ebner is the project architect for the redevelopment of the McGraw-Hill building at 330 West 42nd St. and the Black Rock building at 51 West 52nd St., among other projects in New York City. She is a Registered Architect in New York and a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional BD+C. She holds a master of architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a bachelor of arts in architecture from Columbia University.
Dorney leads the BIM programming at MdeAS, spearheading the company’s internal strategy and implementation as well as investment in the future. She is currently working on the complete redevelopment of PENN 1 and 2, and 330 West 42nd St. Prior to joining MdeAS in 2018, Dorney was an architecture solutions specialist at Microdesk. She holds a bachelor of architecture from New York Institute of Technology.
Aders has a decade of experience in the repositioning and renovation of existing and landmarked buildings and the renovation of luxury single-family residential units. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Aders practiced architecture at design firms in Brazil before moving to the U.S. in 2014. At MdeAS, Aders is the design and project manager for 330 West 42nd St. as the redevelopment of a commercial office building near Madison Park. She is a Registered Architect in São Paulo and a USGBC LEED Green Associate. She holds a bachelor of architecture and urban planning from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in São Paulo.
Milas has 10 years of experience with a background in cultural spaces and high-end residential projects. At MdeAS, Milas has been involved in the redevelopment of the lobby and tenant spaces at the Lipstick Building (885 Third Ave.) and two new ground-up residential towers in White Plains, New York. She is a Registered Architect in Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
