AmTrust RE, a national real estate owner-developer with 12 million square feet of commercial, mixed-use and residential properties has launched “AmTrustRE,” a tenant experience app powered by VTS Rise, across most of its seven-building, 6.2-million-square-foot Chicago portfolio. AmTrust worked closely with VTS to customize the technology for each individual property, creating a curated experience for tenants across the portfolio.

The mobile app enhances tenant interactions with every aspect of their buildings, offering them new conveniences while also maximizing existing amenities. Using the app, tenants are able to sign up for building amenities and conference rooms; order lunch from local dining establishments; gain easy building access for themselves and visitors without a keycard and submit and manage service requests. In addition to enhancing the attractiveness of its properties by offering these services in a single, easy-to-use app, AmTrust is also able to utilize the app to alert tenants to building events and get real-time feedback via in-app surveys.

“We’re in the midst of reinvigorating our entire portfolio to better serve the evolving needs of today’s employers, and the AmTrustRE app will help us reach that goal,” said AmTrust President Jonathan Bennett. “A growing portion of the workforce is comprised of digital-first millennials and Gen Zs, and these professionals will now be able to tap into every building related touch point with a seamless mobile experience. Companies bringing workers back to the office have to provide a meaningful experience that will fully unlock their building’s potential, and the leading employers are increasingly finding building technology to be a significant part of that equation.”

AmTrust is in the early stages of a large-scale capital improvements campaign to its local portfolio, upgrading food and beverage options, fitness centers, lobbies and other common areas. Once complete, AmTrust’s properties will feature best-in-class amenities and collaborative spaces designed to elevate the work experience of its tenants and increase their productivity.

“Leading building owners and managers such as AmTrust understand the importance of providing employees with best-in-class technology such as VTS Rise at their properties to ensure a seamless, user-friendly onsite experience,” said Nick Romito, CEO of VTS. “With the AmTrustRE app, the company is affirming it is committed to providing convenience and connection through innovation, making the daily workplace experience welcoming for workers and visitors alike.”
