IPS, a provider of architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management and validation services for the life sciences sector, has appointed Jim Stephanou as its new chief executive officer (CEO) to lead the company into its next phase of growth.

Stephanou has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, operations and engineering in the pharmaceutical industry. His most recent role was vice president, global engineering solutions at Merck & Co. Inc., a position he held for eight years. “Jim is just the right person to lead IPS Life Science as we continue on our unwavering commitment to providing EPCMV services to the life sciences industry,” Goswami said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Jim through the many years supporting Merck as one of our largest clients. He has demonstrated remarkable leadership capabilities and possesses the skills necessary to lead IPS into the future. This appointment is a part of our organizational strategy to achieve our ambitious growth goals.”
