BOMA New York has announced that Patrick J. Dolan, RPA, senior property manager at The Durst Organization and head of operations at One World Trade Center, is its new chair. He succeeds Matt Duthie, RPA, senior vice president of property management at Newmark, who served in the role from 2021 to 2023.

Dolan has been a member of BOMA New York since 2000 and has served as an Officer for the past six years. He also serves on the Executive Committee of Caring to Remember, served on the Board of Directors for Hearts to Homes, and is an ardent supporter of CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving. He also served in the U.S. Marines, stationed in the Western Pacific for four years.

“I am in the problem-solving business. My training in the Marine Corp taught me the importance and impact of good leadership and prepared me to tackle any obstacle,” Dolan said. “BOMA New York has been an integral part of my career. I thank Matt Duthie for his diligence as Chair, and I am both honored and excited to be chair of BOMA New York during a critical time in the commercial real estate industry.”

In his term, Duthie oversaw the attraction and retention of over 900 BOMA New York members; the production of the first annual Proptech Expo & Seminar; the highest attended Pinnacle Awards for two years in a row and the merger of the Long Island BOMA chapter into BOMA New York.

Known for its sustainable buildings, The Durst Organization built the first green office tower, One Five One West 42nd Street, the first LEED Platinum skyscraper, One Bryant Park, and the largest LEED Gold building in the world, One World Trade Center.

Other BOMA New York officers at the end of 2023 were: Sharon Hart Fanelli, RPA, CPM, New York Life Investors, vice chair; Bridget Cunningham, Vornado Realty Trust, treasurer and Eduardo Fiallo, Hines, secretary.

According to the BOMA New York bylaws, each Officer congruently serves a two-year term. Officers naturally ascend. Accordingly, Fanelli, RPA, CPM, senior director at New York Life Investors, will become the next chair of BOMA New York in 2026.
