Curacao, the largest Hispanic-serving retailer on the West Coast, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest store location at the Chula Vista Center on April 20, 2024, with a full-day celebration including an appearance by host and actor Mario Lopez, a Chula Vista native.
This grand opening will feature a full day of activities, entertainment, and prizes, starting at 10:00 a.m. Early birds will enjoy face painting, balloon artists, and unique photo opportunities, setting the stage for a day filled with joy and community spirit.
At noon, the spotlight turns to a fashion show showcasing the latest trends with a local twist. The show will feature local DJs and models, accompanied by free food and exclusive midday-only retail offers.

The festivities continue into the afternoon with children’s activities, including an inflatable house and community tents highlighting local non-profits and brand partners.
A free music concert series begins at 5:00 PM and features an impressive lineup of talent, including regional Mexican performers Banda Los Sebastianes, Mexican-American singer Luis Coronel, reggaeton singer Mariah Angeliq and Mexican-American Sierreño trio Conexión Divina.
The day will culminate in the giveaway of a brand-new car.
