The Providence Group, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based boutique retail real estate brokerage firm, completed two leases totaling nearly 40,000 square feet of space in the Triangle market involving Home Goods and Michaels. The larger of the transactions was a nearly 23,000-square-foot lease by Home Goods at Knightdale Marketplace in Knightdale, North Carolina. Michaels claimed more than 16,200 square feet at Durham Festival in Durham, North Carolina.
The Providence Group’s Melissa McDonald represented the tenants. The Providence Group’s Reagan Crabtree and Cristi Webb represented the landlords in both deals (Epic Real Estate Partners at Durham Festival and M&J Wilkow at Knightdale Marketplace).
“National retailers continue to seek well-located centers across the Carolinas,” McDonald said. “Both Knightdale Marketplace and Durham Festival check multiple boxes for Home Goods and Michaels including being situated in a growing Southeast region, along key retail corridors, with affluent customer bases and strong foot traffic patterns.”
Knightdale Marketplace is a nearly 325,000-square-foot, open-air shopping center at 1008 Shoppes at Midway Drive. Durham Festival, a 134,290-square-foot retail center at 3419 Hillsborough Rd.
