City Winery has signed a 20-year lease at Hudson River Park’s Pier 57 in Chelsea, Manhattan, to debut three new dining and entertainment establishments. The deal entails a flagship Mediterranean restaurant spanning 6,500 square feet as well as a new 3,000-square-foot tequila bar and lounge positioned at the tip of the pier. Additionally, there will be a rooftop sushi bar and restaurant covering 5,100 square feet, bringing City Winery’s total footprint in the building to 52,000 square feet.
“City Winery’s expansion at Pier 57 further cements the building’s status as one of the premier dining and entertainment landmarks on the Hudson River and a central attraction for residents and visitors alike,” said William Elder, RXR’s executive vice president and managing director of New York City leasing. “With the addition of these three new diverse dining and entertainment spaces, Pier 57 is now substantially leased; a milestone that illustrates how the property’s offerings, which are all unique and additive from one another, continue to resonate with the community.”
City Winery, with 15 locations nationwide, including four in New York City, anticipates opening these restaurants to the public in 2025.
