TPG Architecture LLP has promoted Christina Faley, Well AP, IIDA, to retail studio director. In her new role, Faley will lead one of the firm’s two retail studios within its larger team-of-teams structure, overseeing projects from concept to delivery.

“Christina’s promotion to studio director is a testament to her exceptional professionalism, talent and expertise. She possesses a unique blend of conceptual creativity and a deep, thorough understanding of the technical intricacies of the architectural process. Her ability to navigate both design and technical challenges with equal skill sets her apart as a truly complete professional,” said Alec Zaballero, managing executive at TPG Architecture. “Beyond her remarkable design capabilities, Christina is a genuine and empathetic team player whose insights and judgment have earned her the trust and respect of both her colleagues and clients.”

An Ireland native, Faley joined TPG Architecture in 2016, following 10 years in the hospitality industry. Intent on pursuing a new career in design, she went back to school in 2014 to study interiors at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she ultimately discovered her passion for curating retail environments. She has since built an extensive portfolio of international projects –– including retail, hospitality, workplace and specialized retail fixture design –– for clients such as El Palacio de Hierro, Mutual of America, UPPABaby and Tishman Speyer.

As retail studio director, Faley will continue exploring the influence and integration of hospitality on developing holistic brand environments. Recognizing retail spaces as central to bringing people together, her philosophy aims to create experiences that go beyond the transactional, the firm said.
