Property-wide modernizations and a 3,000-square-foot lease commitment by global brand Club Pilates are bringing new energy to Broadway Plaza in Bayonne, New Jersey, announced Levin Management Corporation (LMC), the leasing and managing agent for the 11,000-square-foot neighborhood retail center at 280 Broadway at the corner of 12th Street.
The LMC leasing team arranged the Club Pilates lease on behalf of the landlord; Florian Suserman of Ripco Real Estate represented the tenant.
Founded in 2007, Club Pilates has become the largest Pilates brand and studio network worldwide. Locations offer low-impact, full-body Reformer-based workouts designed to make Pilates more accessible, approachable and welcoming to all. The experienced operator of the new Broadway Plaza studio has several additional Club Pilates locations throughout the Garden State, said Sidney Singer, LMC’s vice president of leasing.
“Fitness concepts are active players in today’s retail landscape and significant traffic drivers for properties like Broadway Plaza,” he said. “This center’s prime access and visibility, along with convenient on-site parking, make it an ideal match for this new tenant. Club Pilates is an industry leader with a loyal following, and a great new workout option for the community.”
LMC’s in-house construction management team is spearheading a program of interior and exterior renovations at Broadway Plaza. Highlights include updated façades and storefronts to enhance curb appeal and the incorporation of a new sidewalk and canopy parking area. Core and shell upgrades, and reconfigured interiors are creating flexible and efficient layouts.
