In a transaction arranged by CBRE, Junior Achievement of New York, the local affiliate of Junior Achievement USA, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people knowledge and skills for future success, has inked a 10,035-square-foot office lease at 230 West 38th St. The non-profit organization will occupy the entire second floor of the 18-story office building.
CBRE’s Paul Walker represented Junior Achievement of New York in negotiations with the budding ownership, Rosen Equities. Daniel Breiman of Olmstead Properties acted on behalf of the ownership.
The space will be used as a learning center, where students can come for the day and learn in an interactive format about career readiness and personal finance concepts.
“We were able to negotiate a lease that provided Junior Achievement of New York with a permanent home and the perfect space from where the non-profit could offer its amazing training programs to the greater NYC area public school students,” said Walker. “The ownership recognized Junior Achievement’s long history of service to the community and made an extra effort to ensure the deal met their needs and went very smoothly.”
Constructed in 1928, 230 West 38th Street is also known as the Bricken Arcade North. The property was completely renovated including brand new automatic passenger elevators, a fully redesigned and modernized lobby, new windows, and new bathrooms throughout and a new heating plant.
