Los Tacos No. 1 signed a new, 10-year lease for 9,800 square feet on the first floor of 318 West 39th St. in Manhattan’s Garment District, said GFP Real Estate LLC. The new space will serve as a commissary kitchen for Los Tacos No. 1, enabling the company to produce tortillas, chips, and other staples for their popular taquerias.
Los Tacos No. 1 is known for its authentic and fresh take on traditional Mexican tacos, featuring handmade tortillas, quality meats and flavorful toppings.
Matthew Mandell of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, in the transaction. Neal Ohm of Newmark represented Watchale LLC, which coes business as Los Tacos No. 1.
“Los Tacos No. 1 has grown into a New York institution, beloved for its commitment to authentic flavors and quality dining experiences. The new commissary will support the company’s seven locations across Manhattan as it continues to grow,” said Mandell. “GFP Real Estate is thrilled to welcome them to 318 West 39th St., where their presence will bring energy and vibrancy to the building and the neighborhood.”
The 13-story 318 West 39th St. was built in 1915 and designed by the architectural firm of Crow, Lewis & Wickenhafer on the former site of the Finck Brewery.
