Bond New York Announces New Agent Hire: Steve Schaefer

BOND New York welcomes Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, Steve Schaefer to its team. Schaefer comes to BOND New York with nearly two decades of real estate experience.  At BOND, he will be responsible for high-end rentals, townhome sales and commercial leasing transactions.

Schaefer was formerly at Serhant for over a year where he did $25M in sales volume last year. Prior to that he was at Compass for six years where he concentrated on both rentals and sales. He started out his real estate career at Nooklyn, where he was Director of Leasing. A native New Yorker, he is a graduate of Manhattan Community College with an Associates in Arts and Science.

He goes by the moniker “The Rock N’Rolla Realtor” and it has become his brand identity. He was a former touring rock n’roll musician who played shows with The Queens of the Stone Age, the Foo Fighters and System of a Down. He is particularly adept at working with other creatives and musicians.

“Steve and I have had a long-standing relationship in the industry, and I’ve always admired his business and brand,” explains Alex Saltalamacchia, managing director, BOND New York. “We’ve often talked about the possibility of working together, and I’m thrilled that the time has finally come. As we continue to grow and expand in Brooklyn, we’re excited to offer Steve the flexibility and nimbleness needed to build upon his success. This is a natural fit, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.”

“I came to BOND because the firm has a truly agent-centric approach which does not exist elsewhere, in my experience,” says Schaefer. “I am excited that BOND is flexible with what I could do as an agent in regards to servicing my clients and that management offers personalized attention to agents. I have known Alex for over 10 years and have always wanted to work with him – he is a big reason why I came to BOND.”
