L&L Holding Company signed two lease extensions totaling 55,269 square feet at 600 Third Ave., its modernized 42-story office tower.
L&L secured a 15-year extension with Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein & Deutsch LLP to keep the firm’s headquarters at the Grand Central district tower through at least 2042. A tenant since 2010, Aaronson Rappaport will maintain the same 42,764 square feet it currently occupies on the entire fifth and sixth floors. Founded in 1993 by four seasoned trial attorneys, Aaronson Rappaport has grown into a major litigation firm with more than 80 attorneys.
Bond Schoeneck & King also signed a seven-year lease extension at 600 Third. A tenant at the building since 2014, the firm’s New York City office will remain in the 12,505 square feet it currently occupies across the entire 22nd floor of the building through at least 2033.
“We are pleased to extend our partnerships with Aaronson Rappaport and Bond Schoeneck & King, two highly valued tenants of the office tower,” said L&L Holding Executive Vice President of Leasing Jonathan Tootell. “600 Third Avenue’s exceptional workspaces and superior accessibility have made it a sought-after destination for organizations aiming to attract, inspire and retain top-tier talent.”
Originally built in 1970, the 575,254-square-foot tower occupies the entire western blockfront between East 39th and East 40th Streets. L&L, which owns 600 Third in partnership with BlackRock, has undertaken a series of renovations to the tower, including lobby upgrades and building system improvements.
An in-house team of Tootell, Tanya Grimaldo and Giannina Brancato represented L&L Holding. Aaronson Rappaport was represented by Mark Weiss and David Mainthow of Cushman & Wakefield and Larry Bank of Matador Capital Management. Bond Schoeneck & King was represented by Jeffrey Peck and Daniel Horowitz of Savills.
