Industry veteran Chris Hake has launched Phoenix-based Legacy Development Partners, a real estate development firm will focus on developing and redeveloping single-tenant outparcels, multi-tenant buildings, grocery-anchored projects and mixed-use spaces throughout the Southwest and beyond.
The firm is backed by national multifamily leader and mixed-use developer The Garrett Companies.

Legacy Development Partners’ affiliation with The Garrett Companies — a full-service multifamily development, construction and property management and mixed-use development firm — will enable the new venture to leverage national expertise and resources while maintaining an independent, local identity focused on retail-driven, mixed-use solutions.

Hake brings decades of experience in commercial real estate development, having sourced and overseen approximately $1.3 billion in ground-up projects across the Southwest, Southeast and Midwest regions. Legacy Development Partners has launched with an active pipeline of more than a dozen opportunities, representing nearly $110 million in potential development volume.
Initial projects will be concentrated in the Phoenix metro area and across Arizona, with additional developments planned in Colorado, Utah and Idaho. Legacy Development Partners will also pursue select mixed-use opportunities in high-growth markets nationwide along with tenant-directed opportunities across the country.
