Adler & Stachenfeld LLP (A&S), a specialist in all facets of commercial real estate, announced that Ryan McCaffrey has joined the firm as a partner in its Real Estate Practice Group. He will divide his time between New York City and Philadelphia, expanding the firm’s footprint on the East Coast.
With decades of legal experience in handling transactions valued at billions of dollars, McCaffrey represents real estate clients ranging from entrepreneurs to large institutional real estate entities in transactions that span the full lifecycle of real estate projects, from capitalization (both debt and equity) through the buying, building, managing, leasing and selling, as well as recapitalizing of properties. He also has extensive experience in general partner, corporate-level and platform growth strategies for developers and other private equity companies.

McCaffrey joins Adler & Stachenfeld from a national real estate developer, where he served as its chief legal officer for more than a decade. During which time the firm experienced tremendous growth of its built, converted or renovated approximately 8,300 Class A+ rental units in projects valued at $4.3 billion. He has also served as general counsel for general contractors and property management firms and held roles as a real estate and corporate attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he represented real estate private equity sponsors, investment banks, high-net-worth individuals, developers, real estate operating companies and hospitality clients in all aspects of private equity real estate transactions.
Admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania, McCaffrey earned his J.D. cum laude, from University of Notre Dame Law School and a B.A. from the University of Richmond.
