Lee & Associates NYC announced that it represented Liba Fabrics Corporation, a six-decade-old, family-owned textile importer, in its New York City relocation to 149 West 36th St.  in the Garment District from 132 West 36th St. Liba Fabrics signed a seven-year and seven-month, 4,000-square-foot lease, taking the entire ninth floor of the building.

Woody King from Lee & Associates NYC represented Liba Fabrics Corporation. The landlord, The Frangene Company LLC, was represented by Ken Kronstadt of Newmark.

“Liba Fabrics has been a staple of New York City’s textile industry for over 60 years, and it was a pleasure to work with their team, Newmark and The Frangene Company to secure the ideal office space to support their continued success,” said King, Managing Director at Lee & Associates NYC. “149 West 36th Street offered exactly what they were looking for, a full-floor layout and an abundance of natural light.”

Liba Fabrics was founded in 1962 by Burt Isdaner and has remained a large player in the textile industry for the past 63 years. The firm specializes in textile imports, providing fabric by the yard, custom sewing, printing services and hardware accessories.

149 West 36th St. is a 12-story, 58,000-square-foot office building built in 1909.
