HFA Architecture + Engineering announced the acquisition of Chesapeake Design Group (CDG), a boutique architecture firm based in Baltimore. The move marks a strategic expansion of HFA’s architectural bench and reinforces its commitment to delivering integrated, multidisciplinary services across the country, HFA said.

Bringing CDG into the HFA community achieves both very well.”
Founded in the Mid-Atlantic and proudly family-owned, CDG has spent decades providing tailored architectural solutions and building strong partnerships. With this transition, CDG clients will now gain access to Bentonville, Ark.-based HFA’s broader team of in-house disciplines, services, and resources.

As of August 1, CDG operates fully under the HFA brand, with its team joining HFA’s existing studios across Bentonville, Boston, Fort Worth, Springfield and Mexico City. This expansion not only enhances HFA’s geographic footprint but also positions the firm to pursue new project opportunities and deepen support for key accounts in the restaurant and commercial sectors.
