Tarter Krinsky & Drogin is continuing to expand its Real Estate Practice with the arrival of partners Nahum Palefski and Melissa Bassin in the firm’s New York office. Joining from Moses & Singer, Palefski and Bassin bring more than three decades of combined experience representing institutional investors, developers, financial institutions, corporate occupiers and high-net-worth individuals in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including significant acquisitions, dispositions, financings and leasing matters.
“We have built a highly sophisticated and well-rounded practice with the depth and experience to handle the same complex matters as much larger firms,” said Alan Tarter, managing partner of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin. “The addition of Nahum and Melissa further strengthens that team, adding capabilities and experience that enhance the service we provide to our clients.”
Formerly Real Estate Practice chair at Moses & Singer, Palefski represents institutional investors, developers, owners and high-net-worth individuals in the acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential real estate. His experience also encompasses commercial leasing matters for both landlords and tenants involving office, warehouse, retail, restaurant and medical properties, as well as secured borrowing transactions, including mortgage, construction and mezzanine financing. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Yeshiva University.
Bassin, formerly a partner in the Real Estate Practice at Moses & Singer, focuses her practice on sophisticated commercial leasing and sales and acquisitions. She advises financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, technology companies, sports organizations and real estate investors in high-value transactions across the United States. Her experience spans a broad range of asset classes, including office, retail, multifamily and warehouse properties. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and her B.A. from George Washington University.
“Nahum and Melissa bring substantial experience representing institutional clients that complements the continued growth of our Real Estate practice,” said Mark Aloia, chair of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s Real Estate Practice. “Their particular depth in warehouse leasing strengthens an important area of our practice and broadens the capabilities we can offer clients across their real estate portfolios.”
