Zimmet Law Group P.C. has signed a new lease for 5,476 square feet of office space at GFP Real Estate’s 515 Madison Ave.
Zimmet Law Group is a full-service New York City law law firm providing legal services to individuals and corporate clients. The firm’s practice areas include matrimonial and family law, wills, trusts and estates, real estate, commercial litigation, business law and landlord-tenant matters. The firm will occupy Suite 603 on the sixth floor of the building under a new, 10-year lease, relocating its Manhattan office from 477 Madison Ave. Occupancy is expected to take place following completion of the new space later this year.
Martin McGrath and Kephra Stone of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, in the transaction. Elliot Zelinger of Savitt Partners represented Zimmet.
“Zimmet Law Group’s decision to make a long-term commitment to 515 Madison Avenue speaks to the continued appeal of the building and the strength of the Plaza District,” said Martin McGrath of GFP Real Estate. “Professional services firms continue to prioritize high-quality, well-located office space, and we’re pleased to welcome Zimmet Law Group to the building.”
Built in 1932 and known as the DuMont Building, 515 Madison is a 42-story, 370,000-square-foot class A building designed by John H. Carpenter. One of the building’s most distinctive features is a broadcasting antenna that traces back to the building’s role in the first television broadcasts of Allen B. DuMont’s experimental television station W2XWV in 1938. This building’s careful restoration of its renovated entrance and lobby in 2009 kept its architectural elements intact yet modernized for today’s tenants.
