Premium baby brand UppaBaby has signed a long-term lease for a new 3,780-square-foot retail space at 156 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. The store will occupy 2,150 square feet on the ground floor and 1,630 square feet on the lower level. The company will relocate its Brooklyn Hub from 90 Smith Street and expects to open the new location in 2027.
UppaBaby designs and sells strollers, car seats, bassinets, travel systems, nursery products and related accessories. Its Hub concept gives families direct access to the company’s complete product line, product demonstrations, fittings and specialized service capabilities.
“Brooklyn is an important market for UPPAbaby, and this relocation allows us to build on the relationships we have developed with local families,” said Bob Monahan, co-founder and CEO of UppaBaby. “Brooklyn Heights has a strong community of young and growing families, and the Montague Street location gives us the space and accessibility to deliver the hands-on product experience and personalized service that define our HUB stores.”
JLL’s Jesse Wolff and Elijah Mehl represented UppaBaby in the transaction. The landlord, Montague Realty Development Associates, was represented by the firm’s Ryan Condren and George Danut.
“Montague Street offers the neighborhood density, visibility and accessibility that work well for family focused retailers like UppaBaby,” said Wolff. “We look forward to supporting the company’s continued growth and success in New York City and throughout the United States.”
Since its founding in Massachusetts in 2006, UppaBaby has grown its product portfolio from a single stroller design to include car seats, travel systems, nursery products and accessories. The company now distributes its products in more than 50 countries and operates a growing network of Hub showrooms in North America.
