Stonehenge NYC announced that it has promoted Mark Shepelskiy to chief financial officer. The appointment comes as Stonehenge broadens its investment activities across the New York City multifamily market and reinforces the institutional strength and financial leadership driving the firm’s long-term strategy.
In his expanded role, Shepelskiy will oversee corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, audit, treasury, forecasting, tax and financial controls across the Stonehenge platform. He will continue to be responsible for the financial infrastructure, reporting and analysis that underpin investment and operating decisions across the organization.
“Over nearly two decades at Stonehenge, Mark has earned the confidence of our entire team through his expertise, sound judgment, and deep understanding of our business,” said Ofer Yardeni, chairman and chief executive officer of Stonehenge. “He has advanced the systems, reporting capabilities, and financial controls that support our operating platform and investment activities. His promotion recognizes the significance of his contributions and our confidence in the direction he will provide in the years ahead.”
Since joining Stonehenge in 2008, Shepelskiy has assumed progressively senior responsibilities across the firm’s finance and accounting functions, most recently serving as chief accounting officer. Throughout his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in advancing Stonehenge’s financial reporting and corporate finance, implementing systems and controls, improving operating efficiency, and building the infrastructure that supports Stonehenge’s multifamily investment portfolio.
Prior to Stonehenge, Shepelskiy held senior financial positions at a publicly listed real estate investment trust, where he managed financial operations, improved financial processes and coordinated key financial functions during the company’s initial public offering. Earlier in his career, he worked in public accounting, providing audit, tax and advisory services to major real estate clients. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of New York.
