Real New York, a leading NYC-focused marketing and brokerage firm, has announced it has been retained as the official leasing and marketing brokerage for the Upper East Side’s newest luxury rental new development, The Eastline, at 1655 First Avenue/355 East 86th Street.

The Upper East Side’s 23-story complex comprises two connected structures developed by Chess Development and designed by S. Wieder Architect. Interiors were designed by Durukan Design.

The Eastline’s two conjoined towers offer 198 rental residences—99 in each building—ranging from studio to three bedrooms, with rents starting from $6,000. The complex also includes ground-floor commercial space, a cellar level and a central courtyard.

Apartment features include: floor-to-ceiling windows, ceilings up to nine feet, engineered hardwood floors, custom built-out closets, included window treatments, individually controlled heating and cooling and an in-home LG washer and dryer. Kitchens have stone countertops and backsplashes and full electric GE and LG appliance suites, with Fisher & Paykel in select residences. Baths are finished in marble-look porcelain with recessed mirrored medicine cabinets. Select residences have double exposures and private outdoor space.

Life at The Eastline extends well beyond the residence, with amenities reaching from the cellar to the rooftop of both towers. The cellar level brings together a fitness center, yoga room and wellness center alongside a clubhouse, golf simulator and pet spa, so residents can train and unwind without ever leaving home. At street level, two welcoming lobbies and a package room lead to a business center and meeting point for focused work, while a theater, game room, lounge and kids’ zone make room for downtime and gathering. A central courtyard and second-floor outdoor terraces bring open air into the heart of the complex, and above it all, a 23rd-floor sky lounge and rooftop terrace frame sweeping views of the city. It is a complete lifestyle, set in one of New York’s most desired neighborhoods.

“This is the latest new development Real New York is representing on the Upper East Side, and the project exemplifies the neighborhood’s continued evolution,” said Robert Rahmanian, co-founder of Real New York. “According to current Yimby data, there are 600 units currently tracked for the neighborhood. We’ve watched the Upper East Side evolve significantly over the past several years, and The Eastline is a direct response to that evolution.”

Rahmanian continued, “Renters today want more than just a unit; they’re looking for thoughtfully designed homes, meaningful outdoor space, strong amenities and a building that feels connected to the surrounding neighborhood.”

Leasing will begin: Fall 2026.
