Boise Cascade Company announced that it intends to acquire two building materials distribution facilities from Taiga Building Products in Rocklin and Sanger, California.
“This acquisition is a great fit for our business and an exciting next step in our growth strategy,” said Jo Barney, executive vice president of Boise Cascade’s Building Materials Distribution division. “These locations complement our existing operations in California, and we’re excited about the opportunities this expansion will create for our customers and our business.”
The acquisition will expand Boise Cascade’s distribution capacity and strengthen its ability to serve customers throughout Northern and Central California, the California Coast and Northern Nevada. Boise Cascade currently operates 39 distribution locations in the United States, and the Rocklin and Sanger facilities will further extend the company’s distribution presence in California. The acquisition will also enhance Boise Cascade’s general line product capabilities and support the continued growth of its recently expanded partnership with James Hardie, the company said.
“We’re proud of the businesses and relationships our teams have built in Rocklin and Sanger,” said Russell Permann, president and chief executive officer of Taiga. “Boise Cascade has a strong reputation in building materials distribution, and we look forward to seeing these locations and teams begin their next chapter at Boise Cascade.”
The transaction is expected to close by mid-November 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Taiga’s other locations and products are not included in the transaction and will continue to be owned and operated by Taiga.
