T&T Construction Management Group Inc., a woman-owned concrete specialty contractor, has promoted  Derek Preston from senior project manager  to director of Northeast region. Preston works closely with Michael Skorochod, the company’s director of the Southeast region, in this new role.

Preston has spent his entire professional career with T&T Construction Management Inc., serving first as a project engineer. Since joining T&T Construction Management Inc. in 2017, Preston also started the company’s newest region, the Mideast, with an office in Raleigh, North Carolina. He relocated from Philadelphia to Raleigh to start this office, after which he was promoted and returned to Philadelphia with an expanded role overseeing both the Mideast and Northeast.

Upon the successful completion of the Raleigh project, he moved back to the Philadelphia area to commence overseeing the Northeast and Mideast as senior project manager, a new position at the time. In his new role, Preston oversees multimillion-dollar projects, including tilt-up and specialty slab construction.

“Derek has consistently demonstrated tremendous leadership during his years with T&T,” said Rebecca Thomas, T&T’s chief executive officer. “He is very deserving of this promotion, and we are excited to continue our growth in the Northeast. His ability to provide our clients with outstanding results continues to fuel our success.”
