Corcoran New Development recently announced the marketing launch and new renderings of The MC, located at 1100 Myrtle Avenue (aka 371 Vernon Avenue) in eastern Bedford-Stuyvesant along the Bushwick border. The 11-story residential community spans an entire block from Myrtle Avenue to Vernon Avenue, with the property’s entrance located on the brownstone-lined Vernon Avenue. The building will house 233 rental apartments, including 163 market-rate residences. Move-ins are expected to begin in late spring 2024.

The Roman numeral for 1100 inspired the branding behind The MC, and the award-winning Hill West Architects created the distinctive design concept to evoke quintessential Brooklyn style. With a glass curtain wall façade, The MC is a distinguished addition to the neighborhood’s skyline. The building’s base conveniently includes a newly opened 29,000-square-foot Food Bazaar supermarket and access to attended indoor parking in the property’s cellar.
Designed by the Brooklyn-based Alchemy Studio, The MC was carefully curated for today’s living with oversized windows and engineered European oak. The matte black kitchens are outfitted with Caesarstone countertops, grey stone backsplashes, and a full suite of stainless-steel Blomberg appliances. Spa-like bathrooms with custom oak vanities and complementary matte black fixtures make for perfect relaxing spaces.

The MC offers over 26,000 square feet of spectacular indoor and outdoor amenities, emphasizing tenants’ wellness and well-being. Highlights include an attended lobby, a co-working library and sprawling outdoor work-from-home terrace, a media lounge, a billiard room, a residents’ party room, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The building’s crown jewel is a fully landscaped 12th-floor roof deck with designated lounging zones, barbeques, and al fresco dining areas with sweeping skyline views of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island City as a backdrop. This pet-friendly development also boasts a top-of-house dog run. Additional daily conveniences for MC residents include a 24-hour self-serve package room, a live-in building super and dedicated building manager, a pet spa, electric vehicle charging stations, and bicycle storage.
Commuting is easy from The MC, with the J, M, and Z trains at Myrtle Ave just around the corner. The local neighborhood offers many shopping, dining, and recreational opportunities, including notable Bedstuy icons such as Brooklyn Blend, Ornithology Jazz Club, Winona’s, Secret Pour, Kala Yoga, and Concrete Brooklyn. Corcoran New Development is The MC’s pre-development consultant and exclusive marketing and leasing agent.
