International design firm Ware Malcom has named David Jaffe as director, architecture in its New York City office. In his new role, Jaffe will be responsible for the leadership, overall growth and management of the Architecture Studio in New York.
“David’s wealth of knowledge in the architecture industry, combined with his strong leadership skills make him a great addition to Ware Malcomb. We look forward to his collaboration with our local leaders as we advance opportunities for larger scale architecture projects in New York,” said Bill Sotomayer, principal in the firm’s Northeast U.S. region.
Jaffe has over 25 years of experience in both architecture and interiors to, with a track record of business development, design staff mentorship and project oversight. His experience includes design and construction of more than six million square feet of commercial ground up and repositioning projects focused in New York City, encompassing office, healthcare, hospitality, education, entertainment, municipal, liturgical and retail. Prior to joining the firm, he worked most recently as a principal for a New York City-based design firm for five years.
Jaffe earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami School of Architecture, while also minoring in business at University of Miami’s School of Business. He is also an associate of The American Institute of Architects (AIA).
