Ball Janik LLP announce that Michael Iles has joined the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office as an associate in the Insurance Recovery Practice Group. Iles brings experience in complex civil litigation, focusing on representing individual and business policyholders in insurance coverage disputes in state and federal courts. His practice also encompasses general commercial litigation and civil litigation, with a strong focus on construction litigation.
Iles served four years on active duty in the United States Navy before becoming an attorney. He later earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where he contributed to the Federal Appellate Clinic and served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office in the Juvenile Division. He holds a B.S. in political science and government from Florida State University.
