Three leases totaling 11,037 square feet have been signed at 515 Madison Ave. in Manhattan’s Plaza District, announced GFP Real Estate LLC. Martin McGrath of GFP Real Estate and William Grover of Newmark represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, in all three transactions.
MTN Capital Partners, an independent private equity firm that focuses on companies at the lower end of the middle market, signed a two-year lease extension for its 3,956 square feet on the 37th floor. MTN Capital Partners represented itself.
Manhattan Sports Therapy (Madison Avenue Chiropractic P.C.) signed a new, five-year lease for 3,125 square feet of space on the fourth floor. Allen Gurevich of GFP Real Estate represented the tenant.
Robert W. Berg, DMD, P.C., who offers a full scope of esthetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry, signed a new 16-year lease for 3,956 square feet of space on the 39th floor. Jesse Rubens of JLP Realty represented the tenant.
Built in 1932 and known as the DuMont Building, 515 Madison is a 42-story, 370,000-square-foot class A building designed by John H. Carpenter. One of the building’s most distinctive features is a broadcasting antenna that traces back to the building’s role in the first television broadcasts of Allen B. DuMont’s experimental television station W2XWV in 1938. This building’s careful restoration of its renovated entrance and lobby in 2009 kept its beautiful architectural elements intact yet modernized for today’s tenants.
