Top New York City Agent Kathy Murray Joins Corcoran

The Corcoran Group recently announced that Kathy Murray has joined the firm in New York. Announcement of the move was made by Pamela Liebman, Corcoran’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Murray is now affiliated with Corcoran’s East Side office, led by Senior Managing Directors Helen Monti and Tim Rettaliata.

A native New Yorker, Murray brings extensive knowledge of the city along with over two decades of experience in the real estate industry. She has earned a reputation as one of New York City’s top brokers, amassing over $1 billion in lifetime sales volume and building a strong foundation of loyal clients. In 2018, she was recognized as one of the top 50 Real Estate Brokers in New York City by The Real Deal and has received the Pinnacle Award at her previous firm, Douglas Elliman, each year from 2013 to 2024.

Murray’s recent standout transactions include representing the buyer in the $6.465 million purchase of Penthouse 4001 at 60 Riverside Boulevard, the $2.75 million sale of Unit 50NO at 330 East 38th Street, and the $7.49 million deal at 344 West 72nd Street, Unit 301. She is bringing with her to Corcoran the remaining sponsor units at 401 East 60th Street, 308 East 38th Street, 330 East 38th Street, and 416 West 52nd Street, along with a large rental portfolio. She will also be listing a premier residence at 279 Central Park West, among several other notable resale offerings.

On Murray’s association, Liebman remarked, “Kathy is a fantastic agent, and I’m proud to have her join Corcoran. I have no doubt that she will continue to make a major impact on the New York City real estate industry, especially with the strength of the Corcoran brand behind her.”

“After 20 years with Douglas Elliman, I was ready for a new chapter and to expand on how I serve my clients. Corcoran’s global reach, brand strength, and leadership in new development made it the clear choice, “says Murray. “This move positions my team and I to better serve our clients, whether they are buying, selling, investing, or developing. For us, the right move is always the one that puts our client first.”

Noah Meltzer, Lara Schecter, and Rafael Vieria – members of Murray’s team at Douglas Elliman – will also be joining her in the move.
