First National Realty Partners (FNRP) announced the opening of Academy Sports + Outdoors at Southland Crossings in Boardman, Ohio. The national sporting goods and outdoor recreation retailer recently opened a 55,000-square-foot store at the center.
The new location is viewed as a significant value-add for Southland Crossings. The lease backfills a former vacancy, replaces a short-term tenant and reinforces Academy Sports + Outdoors’ growth in Ohio.
“We are thrilled to welcome Academy Sports + Outdoors to Southland Crossings,” said Sam Collier, chief revenue officer at FNRP. “This partnership reflects the appeal of our strategic assets and our ability to attract high-quality tenants.”
The store features a wide array of sporting goods, outdoor recreation equipment and apparel.
“This addition will be a tremendous draw for the Boardman community,” said Candace Gschwind, director of leasing at FNRP. “Academy’s outdoor focus complements the center’s existing lineup and offers shoppers an even broader selection at Southland Crossings.”
Tenants at the 245,678-square-foot Southland Crossings include Bob’s Discount Furniture, Boot Barn, Giant Eagle, PetSmart and Ross Dress for Less.
