Macy’s kicks off the holiday countdown with 100 days to Christmas by unveiling its Top 100 Holiday Gifts, a new Santa national tour experience. The retailer is offering curated and exclusive holiday gift ideas across price points to guide customers through the season and every shopping list. By offering opportunities to shop early, Macy’s creates space for customers to enjoy the season and build lasting memories with loved ones.

In addition, the magic of Santa Claus will arrive in person in cities nationwide with The Macy’s Santa Tour. After welcoming the holidays at the finale of the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Santa will begin a journey to bring magic to customers nationwide. A new Santa photo experience will be introduced at Macy’s Memorial City in Houston opening on Friday, November 28. Continuing a more than 160-year tradition at Macy’s, Santa’s appearances will return to Macy’s Santaland  at the flagship Herald Square store in New York City and Macy’s State Street in Chicago. Guests can explore an immersive wonderland traveling through Santa’s Village and Workshop to meet Santa throughout the holidays. Additional details on The Macy’s Santa Tour will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Macy’s creates memories and has been part of our customers’ traditions for generations. We’re celebrating 100 days until Christmas because anticipation is part of the magic. Wonderful stories start here — we aim to deliver joy and create memories throughout the holiday season,” said Sharon Otterman, Macy’s chief marketing officer.

The Top 100 Holiday Gifts will feature a thoughtfully curated selection of unique gifts at every price point. Macy’s will boast more than 40% newness across the holiday assortment, featuring an incredible selection of advent calendars, cashmere sweaters, jewelry, beauty and fragrance gift sets and more.

This holiday, Santa Claus is calling on Macy’s shoppers and music enthusiasts to help him create a new festive playlist for the season by sharing their favorite holiday songs. Fans can help create Macy’s Most Wonderful Holiday Mix by submitting their favorite festive music to Macy’s social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok between September 16 and October 17. After all submissions are collected, the full playlist will be posted on Spotify on November 1.

Herald Square, an iconic New York City destination, will offer a curated blend of experiences at the intersection of entertainment and retail this holiday season. Returning for the second year, Macy’s Holiday Square brings the magic of the holidays to life with an expanded market of curated local vendors, unique shopping experiences, customizable gifts, and more inside the flagship. The market will be located in the Lower Level of the Herald Square flagship from November 1 to January 4, 2026.

New this holiday, Macy’s State Street in Chicago will host a Holiday Square Market beginning November 26 through December 24. In partnership with Bensidoun USA, the world’s premiere operator of authentic French open-air markets, State Street will open its first market bringing the French culture and style to Chicagoans, with fresh, locally grown produce, seasonal flowers, festive food and more holiday gifting.

This season, Holiday Lane will return to the ninth floor of Macy’s iconic Herald Square Flagship in New York City. Located just above the famed Santaland, Holiday Lane transforms into a festive wonderland filled with twinkling lights, glittering displays and an exclusive assortment of holiday décor and gifts. Other stores nationwide have Holiday Lane, or Trim floors, where customers can discover festive finds created exclusively for Macy’s.

New this holiday season, Build-A-Bear Workshop will debut next to Santaland on the eighth floor at Macy’s Herald Square.
