Din Tai Fung to Open New Downtown Brooklyn Location at The Brook

Din Tai Fung, the internationally acclaimed Taiwanese restaurant famous for its meticulously handcrafted xiaolongbao soup dumplings, has officially announced their brand new location at The Brook in Downtown Brooklyn, set to open in 2027.

With 165 locations worldwide, and 18 currently in North America, this will be only the second Din Tai Fung in New York City, and first outside of Manhattan – bringing one of the world’s most beloved culinary brands into the heart of Brooklyn.

Located at 567 Fulton Street, the restaurant will anchor the ground floor level of The Brook, one of Downtown Brooklyn’s newest luxury developments, taking 20,000 square feet of space. The lease was brokered by Ben Birnbaum of Newmark, representing the tenant, and Chris DeCrosta of Goodspace, representing the landlord.

Developed by Witkoff Group and Apollo Global Management, The Brook offers an unmatched luxury lifestyle in Downtown Brooklyn. Residents of the 591 rental units enjoy an array of amenities rarely seen in rental buildings, including an outdoor pool, basketball court, fitness studios, a library, landscaped terraces, a dog spa, and more – and now, one of the world’s most critically acclaimed restaurants right below them.

Serving more than 7 million customers every year, Din Tai Fung is excited to expand their offerings to Downtown Brooklyn. The restaurant proudly takes local neighborhoods into consideration with their new locations – balancing heritage and community to create a modern, comfortable and beautiful space for their guests. Brooklyn’s reputation as a hub for creativity, coupled with the borough’s rich history, made it a natural choice for the restaurant’s next location.
